Jakarta, 12 December 2022 – PT NEC Indonesia (NEC Indonesia) today carried out a tree planting activity together with residents and farmers in Sukaresmi and Sukaharja Villages in Sukamakmur District, Bogor - West Java, to preserve the environment and restore critical land.  

On this occasion, NEC Indonesia donated 6,250 tree seedlings across 10.5 hectares of land in Sukaresmi and Sukaharja Villages ​​as part of its corporate social responsibility activity to protect the environment.

President Director, NEC Indonesia, Mr. Joji Yamamoto, said, "As a leader in IT integration and network technologies, NEC is commited to supporting our customers in solving their challenges, and working together to create social values and support decarbonization activities through digital transformation. We are very happy to have the opportunity to take part in environmental conservation efforts like today’s tree planting exercise.”

The thousands of plants donated by NEC Indonesia are of a wide variety, ranging from fruit trees to Multi-Purpose Tree Species that produce woods with economic value. Therefore, in addition to protecting the ecosystem, these plants can later help the local economies.

To ensure the tree seedlings planted today grow well, they will be closely monitored for the next two years to ensure maximum benefits for the villagers and the environment.
