Jakarta, 17 March 2023 – TwoSpaces Group collaborated with PT NEC Indonesia to launch the Smart Check-in and Smart Concierge features as part of the Smart Living concept, as the concrete steps to support digitalization and transformation in the Indonesian Hospitality industry.

With the end of The Community Activities Restrictions Enforcement or known as PPKM, slowly but surely many aspects and ways of doing our activities have returned to normal. One of them is traveling activities which support the rise of the country's tourism industry.

However, the tourism industry which continues to show positive trends has not been able to provide fresh air for the hospitality industry. According to data from the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics, the Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for non-star hotels and star hotels in Indonesia were 22.14% and 44.68% in January 2023. There are several factors that contribute to this situation such as changes in people's traveling styles and unpreparedness in facing the increasingly important role of online marketing. More than that, the low occupancy rate of hotels, accompanied by continuously increasing operational costs, has put hotel owners under pressure. This can be seen from the rise in hotel sales on online sites.

Responding to this condition, TwoSpaces Group, a hospitality startup that focuses on solutions for leasing activities including hospitality, offers a complete solution to help hotel owners survive in existing situations and increase profits. TwoSpaces Group in collaboration with PT NEC Indonesia, a company based in Japan, has just launched the Smart Check-in and Smart Concierge features. These two features are the integration of a cloud-based Rental Management System, Internet of Things technology, and face recognition technology, which are one of the flagships of NEC biometrics technologies.

 The Smart Check-in is a feature where hotel guests can carry out the check-in process digitally and contactless. This feature also allows guests to self check-in before arriving at the hotel like the web check-in process which has been around for a long time in the world of aviation. With this feature, hotel owners and operators can minimize employees who handle check-in to be allocated to other functions, make the check-in process more accountable, and reduce arrival queues and waiting time for guests.

The feature is also equipped with e-KYC feature for checking guests including checking guest blacklists, checking national ID, making access in the form of door codes or room access cards, and having a log report for auditing the use of this access at each room door. Soon, this feature will be equipped with artificial intelligence that can identify if there is suspicion of using unfair/fraudulent access.

The Smart Concierge feature is a feature for purchasing and paying for daily necessities such as food, drinks, laundry, coworking and others. This feature helps use loyalty points for those transactions using facial biometric verification. These two features are offered at an affordable cost and a flexible subscription scheme.
